SVPS TRAVEL GUIDE

Welcome to our SVPS Guide of haunted places we have visited over the years.   Photographs, some basic
information and any unusual experiences are listed with each location.   Any additional comments are
strictly our opinions.

Florida
1.   Castillo de San Marcos --Known as America's Oldest Fort.   Construction began in 1672 and finished in 1695.
2.   Haunted St. Augustine Paranormal Investigative Tours-- interactive walking tour as they introduce you to
       the investigation of haunted sites in St. Augustine.   Hosted by Harry C. Stafford Ph.D.   A must SEE!
3.   Hugenot Cemetery --Established in 1821 for victims of the yellow fever epidemic.   Great pictures to see.
4.   St. Francis Inn--Oldest Inn in St. Augustine.   Haunted by a young, African American, slave girl named Lily.
5.   Tolomato Cemetery --Founded on an ancient native indian burial village.   Seen of a boy playing in a tree?
Georgia
1.   Andersonville Prison--The most horrific prison during the Civil War.   13,700 deaths in 13 months!!
2.   Andersonville Cemetery--Over 13,000 graves here from the prison, including the "Raiders".   1,040 unknown.
3.   Bonaventure Cemetery--From the movie & book "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil".   CREEPY!!
4.   Colonial Park Cemetery--Founded in 1750 and home of over 10,000 bodies with only 600 headstones......
5.   Eastman-Stoddard House--Beautiful home built in 1843, it features a truly remarkable photograph.......
6.   Forsyth Park Inn--Beautiful Victorian mansion haunted by the ghost of Lottie who poisoned her mother.
7.   Fort Pulaski--Named after Revolutionary War hero Casimir Pulaski and noted for its civil war history.
8.   "The Book" Gift Shop--Unknown hauntings in this headquarters gift shop of "Midnight in the Garden of
       Good and Evil".   Great Orb picture!   Located on historic Calhoun Square...127 E. Gordon Street
9.   Mercer House--Savannah's BIGGEST attraction!.   Featured in, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil".
10.   Moon River Brewing Company--Haunted microbrewery and restaurant.   Most haunted place in Savannah!!
11.   Owens-Thomas House--Built in 1819, it is the best example of English Regency Architecture in the US.
12.   The Pirates House--Popular restaurant haunted by the pirate Captian Flint who died in a upstairs room.
13.   17 Hundred 90--Savannah's oldest and most haunted inn.   Recorded great pictures and high EMF readings.
Maryland
1.   Antietam Battlefield--Lee's first invasion north results in the single bloodiest day in American history.
2.   The Castle Inn--Mount Savage's castle inn built in 1840 and haunted by a man named Andrew Ramsay.
3.   Historic Jacob Rohrbach Inn--Formerly a civil war hospital and Jacob Rohrbach was murdered here in 1864.
4.   Point Lookout Lighthouse--Historic and haunted lighthouse and area used as a pow camp during the civil war.
Massachusetts
1.   Lizzie Borden House--Scene of the 1892 axe murders of Andrew and Abby Borden.   Did Lizzie commit the crime?
2.   Hawthorne Hotel--Historical Haunted Hotel located in the heart of Salem, scene of the 1692 Witch Trials.
3.   Stone's Public House--Built in 1834, haunted by the owner John Stone and a little girl.   Highly Active!
North Carolina
1.    Graystone Cabins--A haunted private mountain retreat.   As seen on the travel channel's haunted travels.
Pennsylvania
1.   Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn--Original 1809 Civil War farm located on the South Cavalry Battlefield.
2.   Cashtown Inn--Rebel headquaters of A.P. Hill during battle of Gettysburg.   Seen on unsolved mysteries.
3.   Farnsworth House--Home of 13 resident ghosts, one of the most haunted inns in the U.S. and Gettysburg.
4.   Gettysburg Battlefield--Proclaimed as America's most haunted battlefield and city.   Highly Active!!
South Carolina
1.   Old City Jail--In operation from 1802-1939, it housed criminals, runaway slaves, and Civil War prisoners.
2.   Poogan's Porch Restaurant--Noted for its low country cuisine and haunted by a ghost named Zoe St. Amand.
Virginia
1.   Braley's Pond--Scene of a brutal gang related murder located in the George Washington National Forest..
2.   Buckhorn Inn--Used as a hospital after Stonewall Jackson's victory at the battle of McDowell in 1862.
3.   Edgewood Plantation--Home of the ghost of Lizzie Rowland, who waits for her lover to return from the war.
4.   Fredericksburg Battlefield--1862 battle is remembered as one of the most one sided of the Civil War.
5.   Linden House Plantation--Located near the birthplace of Robert E. Lee.    Is listed as very haunted in Va.
6.   McDowell Cemetery--A headless soldier has been seen here, site of a massacre of Balcony Downs in 1742.
7.   Ravenwood, Grottoes Va.--Property owned by Shea Willis that has a great deal of paranormal activity.
8.   Spotsylvania Battlefield--estimated 30,000 casualities from General Grant's 1864 campaign against General Lee.
9.   St. John's Cemetery--Located in Augusta County, Va., outside of Staunton, this cemetery dates back to 1781.
10.   Stonewall Jackson House--Only house Stonewall ever owned.   Is it and surrounding Lexington haunted?
11.   Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery--Built in 1789 in Lexington, Stonewall Jackson is buried here.
12.   Thornrose Cemetery--Largest cemetery in Staunton.   Founded in 1849 and home of unknown rebel soldiers.
13.   West Augusta, Va.--Located west of Staunton, Va.   Excellent moving orbs photos taken in August of 2004.
West Virginia
1.    Elkins, Wv. House--Photo of a moving orb in an 150 year old house that has reports of haunted activity.
2.    The General Lewis Inn--Named after general Andrew Lewis in Lewisburg.   Very active in the winter time.
3.    Harpers Ferry--This place is loaded with civil war history and is the site of John Brown's famous raid.
4.    West Virginia State Penitentiary --As featured on MTV's Fear.   Perhaps the most haunted location in WV!
Puerto Rico
1.   Fort El Morro--Located in San Juan and built in 1539, the largest fort in the Caribean is haunted by soldiers past.
