Background History
The beautiful Miller-Kite House located on Rockingham Street in Elkton, Virginia was built in 1827 and is most noted for being headquarters for confederate General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson from April19th to the 30th of 1862. The house was then owned by Captain Ashner Argenbright and Elkton was then called Conrad's Store. It is said the General Jackson planned his famous Shenandoah Valley Campaign here.
The campaign is considered a military masterpiece. From May 8th to June 9th 1862, Jackson and his confederate troops marched nearly 400 miles and defeated four seperate Union armies. Union armies led by Brigadier General James Shields, Major General John C. Fremont and Major General Nathan P. Banks.

Investigation Objective
Our objective was very simple, collect what data and evidence we could to support a haunting at this location or to disprove and debunk those activities that could be rationally explained. With a larger group than normal, we split our group into two smaller groups. One worked inside the house while the other worked outside.
Investigation Data
Video
Camcorders and the dvr with IR cameras revealed nothing unusual. Dust orbs were spotted often using the IR cameras and the dvr system. No paranormal evidence found.
Photographs
Photographs revealed a few orbs, most likely dust. 35 mm cameras and digital cameras were both used. One interesting photograph was captured outside the house, submitted by Andy and Jodi Bishop below. Photograph seems to be of a blue mist or fog.
An enlarged closer inspection of the photograph. It seems to have formed around Lisa Rose's leg.
Audio
Several evps were recorded at various locations, particularly outside. However all were classified as Class C at best. There were none to provide concrete evidence of a haunting at the house or on the grounds.
Personal Experiences
Personal experiences were far and few between. One experience that both groups mentioned was that of seeing a human shadow up along the house while everyone accounted for was in the back yard down by the creek. Most descibed it as seeing something, a shadow out of the corner of their eye.
Final Conclusion : Inconclusive
Again, a great place to investigate with a long tremendous history. Beyond a few class C evps, we simply did not come up with any concrete data that this location is haunted. I believe the possibility for it to be haunted is there but we have yet to prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt. More time is needed to perform a complete investigation. Hopefully we can go back in the near future.
