TRAVEL GUIDE

Forsyth Park Inn

Savannah, Ga.

Forsyth Park Inn is a beautiful, yellow, victorian mansion overlooking Forsyth Park in Savannah.   Simply a
gorgeous inn with a wonderful staff and owner, staying here was truly a unique experience!   We stayed here
for four nights in mid October of 2005, after seeing a feature on it on the travel channel's haunted travels.   As
told on the travel channel, the inn is haunted by the ghost of Lottie.

The story of Lottie from what was told on the travel channel is she was taken in at a young age(perhaps late
teens-early 20's) to live with her aunt and uncle for whatever reasons, it is not mentioned.   She became
accustomed to a very nice and lavish lifestyle, they were close as a family.   She felt very secure.   One day, the
aunt and uncle take in another older female vistor who had been ill, and it seemed the mansion would just the
place to recover.   Over the course of time, Lottie was able to form a special bond with this woman and they
became quite close.   She was like a older sister Lottie had never had.   However one day, as Lottie was
wandering about the house, she discovered in a backroom through a slight open doorway, her uncle sharing a
passionate kiss with the new visitor, her close friend.   Feeling hurt, betrayed, and wanting to keep her family
together, perhaps to spare her aunt any hurt, Lottie carried out a plan to save her family and keep it secure.

During tea the next day it the courtyard, she slipped some poison in her close friend's tea.   Within moments,
the woman lay dead from poisoning.   Lottie thought she had succeeded in her plan and the family would be safe
and secure now.   But her feelings of triumph would not last long.   Her aunt told Lottie the woman who had
just died in the courtyard was her mother.   Lottie had just killed the mother she never knew.   Distraught and
desolute, Lottie would never be the same, her life as she knew it was over.   Lottie would die a lonely life as she
spent her remaining years in a nursing home far away from her home and family she was so secure with before.

Lottie's spirit now roams the Forsyth Park Inn.   Her presence has been felt and seen by the staff employees and
the innkeeper, Lori Blass.   Shortly after buying the inn, Lori while down in the lobby of the inn, turned her head
and notice a young woman with a look of not of this time era.   Upon glancing away for a second, when Lori
looked back up, the woman was gone.   During our stay at the inn, we were able to get some activity at and
around the staircase.   EMF readings and a few photographs posted on this site.   It is said that Lottie has been
seen out in the courtyard late at night, the same courtyard where she poisoned her mother so very long ago.

The following pictures were all taken with the digital camera.
