Background History
Braley's Pond is located on route 250, west of Staunton, Virginia towards West Virginia. It is also located in the very beautiful George Washington National Forest. A very large pond that many people enjoy for fishing in the area, it also features a very nice picnic area. It was also the scene of a brutal murder a couple of years ago. A gang related murder where the victim was stabbed 13 times and their body thrown in the pond to drown. The forest area was also the scene of a suicide just a year ago.

Investigation Data
This was to be our second investigation of Braley's Pond. Again we had nine group members participate in the investigation. We divided up into three groups. Team A consisted of Shea Willis, Ronnie Tapley, Robin Tapley and Todd Wolfe and covered the left side of the pond. Team B consisted of Kelli Jones, Curtis Jones, Steve Losh and was later joined by Marty Seibel. They covered the front area of the pond as well as travelled to the far back end of the pond to do some evp work. Marty Seibel and Lisa Rose ran base operations from the picnic table area. Ronnie Tapley later joined Lisa as Marty went out into the field. Todd Wolfe operated an thermal imaging camera while with group A.
Audio Results:
Group A -- Shea Willis, Ron and Robin Tapley--13 minutes on digital audio with no results, Todd Wolfe 4 1/2 minutes on digital audio recorder with no results. (far left bank of pond area)
Group B -- Kelli Jones, Curtis Jones, and Steve Losh--17 minutes on digital audio with possible class c evp, (front area of pond at steps)
Group B -- Kelli Jones, Curtis Jones, Steve Losh and Marty Seibel--12 minutes on digital audio with no results, (far back end area of pond)
Photograph Results:
Group A -- Shea Willis -- 153 digital photographs with 2 of interest (determined not of paranormal nature), Ronnie and Robin Tapley -- 24 photographs using 35 mm camera with no photographs of interest, Todd Wolfe with no results from the thermal Imaging camera.

Video Results:
Group A -- Shea Willis, Ron and Robin Tapley--90 minutes of video recording with no results. (far left bank of pond area)
Personal Experiences
Personal experiences were very few. A few cold spots were felt but were attributed to a gentle breeze. A noise of something walking at the back end of the pond was traced to a large animal. We spotted a light on it from a distance and believe it to be a deer. K-II meter did go off a few times at our base station but was quickly traced to the walkie talkies setting it off.
Final Conclusion: Inconclusive
This investigation yielded very little in the way of results. No conclusive audio results or photographs of paranormal evidence were collected. Video revealed no results either. There were more than the usual amount of (drunk) campers out but that could be very well due to the fact that this was memorial day weekend. These campers at times were loud and much audio had to be discounted. Many of us believe there is something active here (based on prior experiences) at Braley's Pond but we have nothing to support these feelings at this time. With this being such an easy location to investigate, I am sure we will be here again in the near future. For now as to say this place is indeed haunted, we simply can not say that until hard, credible evidence is found.
