Background History

Braley's Pond is located on route 250, west of Staunton, Virginia towards West Virginia.   It is also located in the very
beautiful George Washington National Forest.   A very large pond that many people enjoy for fishing in the area, it also
features a very nice picnic area.   It was also the scene of a brutal murder a couple of years ago.   A gang related murder
where the victim was stabbed 13 times and their body thrown in the pond to drown.   The forest area was also the scene
of a suicide just a year ago.

Investigation Data and Experiences

The area does have a shaded history to it.   Several Virginia haunted resources has it listed as a official haunted area in the
state.   Our investigation of the area began at 7:30 pm.   Nine members of our group attended this investigation, so with the
pond being extremely large, we were able to divide the group up into two teams.   Marty Seibel led team A (which consisted
of Lisa Rose, Kristine Bunk, Melanie Duvall and Jessica Ellis) around to the right side of the pond.   Roger Rexrode led team
B (which consisted of Michelle McGenity, Kim and Weston Rexrode) around to the left of the pond.

One major temperature drop of 30 degrees was recorded on the left side of the pond.
