Braley's Pond

George Washington National Forest, Va.


Braley's Pond is located on route 250, west of Staunton, Virginia towards West Virginia.   It is also
located in the very beautiful George Washington National Forest.   A very large pond that many people
enjoy for fishing in the area, it also features a very nice picnic area.   It was also the scene of a brutal
murder a couple of years ago.   A gang related murder where the victim was stabbed 13 times and their
body thrown in the pond to drown.   The forest area was also the scene of a suicide just a year ago.

The place does have a bit of history to it.   It is also listed as a haunted place in Virginia on several
websites.   Children's voices are reported to be heard as well as orb lights around the picnic area.   The
group conducted a investigation of the pond area on July 8th, 2006.   Below are some pictures from that
